When you are in the thick of it, being objective can sometimes be tough. Relationships break down, communication falters, and even minor problems can seem insurmountable. It is at times like these that a facilitated meeting can make a real difference. Happily, there is a simple solution..
In essence, one of our senior facilitators attends a meeting which has been convened to discuss the "situation". Depending on the perceived problem, this can be on site, or at a convenient local venue. Often, the mere presence of the facilitator has a steadying influence, adding an impartial, unbiased dimension which can have a remarkable effect. In this case, the facilitator acts as a silent witness, writing a report after the event. At other times, a little leverage is required, and the facilitator will contribute to (or even chair) the meeting, creating ground rules and challenging both perceptions and misperceptions.
Facilitated meetings are not about us solving your problems - after all, we have no right to tell you how to run your business. They are about clearing muddied waters in order that you can solve those problems for yourselves.
