Every team building event we run is a unique event which has been modified specifically for the client, and which can therefore be used to reflect specific issues or desired outcomes. This is possible because the core framework of each team building teamday is extremely flexible, enabling us to include tasks which reflect those issues most relevant to the participating team. For example, we can keep the team together throughout the event, or we can include tasks in which the team divides into project groups. We can also make the team building event competitive, or can ensure that success will only be achieved through cooperation. Virtually any issue can be mimicked; indeed, every team building teamday is a journey of discovery reflecting the team’s needs and the current issues back at work.
This inherent flexibility extends to the range of activities on offer. Although the location will obviously affect the team building tasks and activities available, we can arrange everything from enjoyable adventurous activities designed to create strong bonds, to more cerebral tasks designed to enhance core skills such as communication, problem solving, and creativity. By including this wide mix of team building tasks, we are able to involve everyone in the team. Those people who wish to strike out and do something physical will find plenty to keep them occupied, whilst those who are less adventurous are kept involved through more cerebral but no less important team building tasks.
These events are great fun, and people are usually in high spirits after their efforts, so we deliberately keep the optional final evaluation short so as not to detract from the essential enjoyment of the day. This optional evaluation is most usually facilitated through our short “Focus Questionnaire”, which gets individual team members to focus not only on the teamwork lessons, but also to relate their experiences back to the workplace. We collate the responses to this questionnaire and send the results back to the team a few days after the event in order to maintain the momentum.
In order to derive the maximum benefit from your team building event, we can also arrange evaluation workshops. Best run within a few weeks of the team building event, these optional workshops are designed to highlight issues, reinforce learning and maintain momentum, adding value by linking the day’s experiences back to the real world of the workplace. Whereas the team building events are best run offsite, these evaluations are most effective when run at your site or at a convenient local venue.
Our team building teamdays can be based at a wide variety of venues throughout Britain, and the range is rapidly expanding. We can even run team building events from a venue of your choice, either as a stand alone event, or as an extension to a conference, meeting, or more formal training session.
